How to list an idle GPU for rental on Compute-AR
What GPU owners need to provide, how approval works, and what to agree before their hardware is rented.
The answer
Submit a provider application with a wallet you control, contact details, GPU model, quantity, region, and hardware/network notes. Applications remain pending while the source and capacity are reviewed. Submitting an application does not automatically connect your GPU or guarantee rental income.
What to include in an application
- Describe the GPU model, VRAM, machine count, operating system, location and hours available.
- Explain ownership or sourcing rights, connectivity, power reliability, and how customer workloads will be isolated.
- Use a contact email you monitor and the wallet intended to own your provider account.
Approval is separate from availability
Compute-AR tracks GPU owners, owned machines and reseller sources separately from customer-ready inventory. Hardware can remain on request while it is being configured.
Supplier approval alone does not make a machine available. A listing also needs verified capacity, a supported access method, an agreed cost and retail rate, and a ready availability state.
Agree the commercial terms first
Confirm your rate, which storage and network costs are included, when earnings are reconciled, and the payout method and timing before activation. A calculator is an estimate, not a promise of utilization or earnings.
Record who handles support, unavailable capacity, workload restrictions, data retention and termination. Do not send provider API keys or machine credentials in public messages.
How access is delivered
Current sourcing can be fulfilled manually. Staff acquires or assigns the machine, verifies its real access details and records the upstream rental reference before the rental is marked running.
A local stop does not itself end a reseller rental. The operator must also stop or terminate the upstream machine, check remaining storage charges and confirm capacity release.
